The scene is set...

A few more of our Hallowe'en decorations. Hallowe'en gives me a chance to be theatrical and childish.

There'll be other years when we can be scary. The princess phase won't last...(we nicked    this idea from Pinterest)

These are some of my ancestors. I feel a bit guilty using them as Hallowe'en decorations but they look great! (Er, the photographs below, not the skull!)

There's an old gin trap on the mantelpiece. That was a car boot sale find. You can see the Devils picture in the background. Er, and a hairbrush. Actually that's probably the scariest prop in the house at the time being!

  4. You've done a great job with the decorations, perfect pumpkin for a princess too. Our eldest (3yrs) couldnt wait till Halloween to carve ours, so they were done 2 weeks ago and went in the bin last weekend due to the green furry stuff growiing on them. But he doesnt really understand about halloween yet and is still a bit scared by it all, so no decorations in our house this year.

  5. Oh yes, been there with the mouldy pumpkins! Now we do it the day before or on the day. Thinking of you and your sister at this time.

    1. Thankyou x There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of it even though it is over 10years ago. I think its this time of year with all the rememberance of Samhain and weirdly Poppyday xx

  6. I LOVE your decor, so creatively spooky! I wish I had time to do up the inside of the house this year... too worried about Frankenbitch the hurricane. I even had to take down all the outside decor, then do it all over again on Halloween, boo! Hope your Halloween was spooky goodness! (The princess phase will pass soon, my daughter grew out of it by 3, then wanted all manner of creepy outfits!) XXX Jet
